Business
Erbi is a leading producer of kitchen worktops and washbasin tops. The company has proven its innovative power by consistently being the first to introduce new materials and techniques. With the kitchen worktop materials Corian® and Cesarstone® and the new generation of plastic kitchen worktops, Erbi is able to keep abreast and even generate new trends in kitchen fittings. The company’s production facility, based in Alphen aan den Rijn, has three modern production lines for the processing of wood, stone and plastic materials. Erbi generates the largest share of its turnover in the Benelux countries and Germany, where it employs over 200 people.

Development
GEM Benelux acquired a minority stake in Erbi in 1998 in order to finance further growth of the company, i.e. for expansion for the production facilities of the successful Cesarstone® line. Even since Erbi has continued to increase its market share and continues to create innovative new products. In 2004 GEM Benelux together with incumbent management realized a management buyout by purchasing the stakes of the other shareholders. Together with GEM Benelux Erbi will pursue the further expansion of its international activities.
