Ad van Geloven
Ad van Geloven is the leading producer of frozen snacks in the Benelux. The company manufactures such products as standard and ball-shaped croquettes, spicy minced-meat sausages, satay sticks, spring rolls and oriental snacks.Ad van Geloven is one of the main suppliers to the wholesaler segment in the Benelux. Ad van Geloven is active in this market with various brand products, including Ad van Geloven, Van Lieshout, Welten Snacks and Van Geloven Meestercroquette. The retail segment is served with Ad van Geloven’s own brand Hebro and a large diversity of retailer own brands.
The family company Ad van Geloven was set up in 1960 and sold in 1989 to the listed UK company Hazlewood Foods. In 2001 the company passed via a management buy-out into the hands of the management team and GEM Benelux. In 2002 Ad van Geloven acquired Van Lieshout Vleessnacks from IgloMora/Unilever. Van Lieshout was a perfect fit and cemented the company’s position as the leading Benelux player in the frozen snack assortment. In 2004 the company was sold in a secondary management buyout to Egeria.
