Koninklijke Peijnenburg's Koekfabrieken
Koninklijke Peijnenburg's Koekfabrieken produces and sells a wide range of spicy cake that is marketed under the names of Peijnenburg, Klinkhamer and Wieger Ketellapper. In addition, the Right and Kapitein Koek products give Peijnenburg a strong position in the market for healthy between-meal snacks. Peijnenburg operates several factories throughout the Netherlands and the workforce comprises ca 200 employees.
The company exists since 1883.
After the last family member had left the company early in 2000, the Peijnenburg family decided to sell the business to the management and GEM Benelux. Together an ambitious growth strategy has been pursued and the strong brand/product portfolio of Koninklijke Peijnenburg has been expanded successfully. In 2006 Peijnenburg joined forces with Lotus Bakeries in Belgium and was listed.
