Codi International

Codi International contract manufactures wet wipes for the Continental European operations of customers including Beiersdorf (Nivea), Procter & Gamble, Sara Lee and Unilever. It provides a fully outsourced solution to its client; manufacturing, packaging and delivering the product in some cases. Wet wipes are sold to the baby, body and hygiene markets. Codi was acquired from OPG Groep.

Key attributes of Codi were the significant industry growth potential, the company’s strong client portfolio. In addition, Codi differentiated itself from competitors through the operation of its own impregnation and lotion mixing facilities.

Supported by GEM Benelux, Codi launched a successful 4 year strategic program for the extension of its production capacity and modernisation of its manufacturing technology.

While in the midst of this program, GEM Benelux was approached by Finish Suominen corporation, a supplier of non woven materials, and subsequently in October 2003 successfully realised the exit of Codi.
