Maarten Vaessen

Maarten joined Gilde in May 2025. Prior to joining Gilde, he gained almost 30 years of working experience in several roles, focusing on strategy, innovation, technology and operations. After a start at KPN, followed by 6 years strategy consulting at Booz & Co, he co-founded Varova, which started as a buy-in of several subsidiaries of Philips Electronics. This evolved into a small, entrepreneurial investment company geared towards revitalization of midsized companies. After a period of 14 years, he went back to consulting at IG&H, where he led the Retail & Products practice and the Digital services activities. Maarten studied Construction (and Industrial) Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology.
