Arthur van Benthem appointed as new CEO Dunlop Protective Footwear

Arthur van Benthem will succeed Allard Bijlsma as CEO of Dunlop Protective Footwear as of October 1st, 2019. Under the leadership of Allard Bijlsma, Dunlop Protective Footwear has developed itself successfully towards global leadership in safety boots. After leading the company for over 8 years, it came as a natural moment to plan for Mr. Bijlsma’s succession. With the appointment of Arthur van Benthem as new CEO, Dunlop has the objective to continue its growth strategy and execution of its Vision 2022 business plan.

Allard Bijlsma will support Arthur van Benthem through his introduction period and will remain closely connected to the company with the intention to join the supervisory board per April 2020.

CEO Background

Arthur van Benthem is an experienced international CEO and occupied leadership positions with Unilever, the Coca-Cola Company, Royal FrieslandCampina and Imperial Brands, in several countries around the world. Arthur is 52 years old, lives with his family in Sint-Michielsgestel and will be responsible to lead Dunlop Protective Footwear to the next stage.
